Stop Look and Listen?
Everything natural--every flower, tree and animal--has something to teach us if we would only stop, look and listen
I am a member of Emotions Anonymous, which adapts AA's 12 steps for recovery from alcoholism, to recovery from emotional illness. Sojourning in Al-anon, a program for family members of recovering alcoholics, has helped me in dealing with my family, which was impacted by borderline personality disorder. Feel free to read!
If you'd like to the next step and participate daily in a path to emotional healing, using EA's Twelve Steps, please join us our autonomous group on Big Tent at https://www.bigtent.com/groups/emoreroom
I'm sharing this for two reasons: It so closely fits an Al-anon slogan, and Nature is my Higher Power.
ReplyDeleteAnd two, this accompanied a wonderful comic strip, Mutts, that I am sending on to my mother and father and I don't want to forget the image.
It is of a forested copse of trees, turning orange with fall color, and two deer beneath the trees, with a man and his dog looking on.
I like this Smitty. I am catching up on your blog. With my marine related classes, I am falling behind! Glad that all is well.
